Modular kindergarten is a kindergarten built by the principle of modular construction, ie using prefabricated spatial modules. The decisive factor for the construction of kindergartens by this method are above all the high speed of construction and easy possibility of subsequent completion or possible dismantling and transfer to another land.

Thanks to these properties, the construction of nurseries is very flexible. Today, a fully equipped kindergarten can be built by experts in just a few weeks. Thus, municipalities are able to respond flexibly to the so-called baby boom and increased demand for placing children in kindergartens. Both the construction supply and the lengthy process of building permits take much less time.

A modular (ie portable) kindergarten will be built where there is a lack of capacity and as soon as the occupancy rate is over, the whole building or part of it will simply be moved where there are enough children or sold for other purposes without linking to the building .

Modular nurseries tend to be less expensive than traditional kindergartens. School facilities can now also be built from low-energy modules, where the modules are specially adapted to provide a comfortable indoor environment while saving energy for heating.
